Three things you must know about ministry.
1Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry
1. Jesus Himself was the one who put you into ministry. You must get this very clear. It's not by gift, talent, education, wealth or any personal attribute. It is purely an election of grace. Out of the whole lot Jesus Himself singled you out. Your calling is a Jesus thing.
2. Jesus passed a vote of confidence on you *upfront*
He has endorsed you as faithful. Not by your performance but by His grace. He placed His stamp of approval on you and it says, "faithful".....upfront.
3. Jesus enabled you.
Jesus built into you the ability to deliver the message He has sent you. It's in you. You have what it takes. Jesus put it there. Your calling is proof that you have the capacity. The capacity preceded the calling......just as you give a bird wings before asking it to fly. Your calling is simply a demand on what Jesus first placed in you. He's simply calling forth His enablement in you. You have the ability because Jesus enabled you. You have what it takes.
2Co 3:6 Who also *hath made us able ministers* of the new testament.....
Now this is the sequence...
Jesus builds the capacity into you.....then He passes a vote of confidence on you upfront......then He puts you into the ministry.
Truly.....
