MAINTAIN VERY CLEAR AUTHORITY LINES

Tayo Onaleye

Act 26:14  And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Act 26:16  But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
Act 26:17  Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,

Dear minister,

There are times some assistant ministers forget who they are and try to rub shoulders with their superiors in the work of the vineyard.

Such erring ministers literally contest the authority of the senior minister.

This usually happens when the authority lines in the ministry are not very clearly defined.

Don’t allow this great error.

On the road to Damascus Paul was with a team. It’s possible a couple of people on that team were Paul’s peers.

Act 26:14  And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me….

Yes, all of them fell to the ground but it was Paul that God called.

Don’t be intimidated or cowed by those who know your history.

Yes, they were there when God called you but it was YOU that God called, not them.

Age mates are not necessarily grace mates.

Let no one despise your calling because they know your history.

Let there be a very clear chain of command in your ministry.

You are the one Jesus called.

You are the one Jesus appeared to.

You are the one Jesus gave the message to.

You are the one Jesus sent.

You are the one Jesus anointed.

The job of those around you is to follow and assist you under Christ.

You are the leader.

Avoid the error and tragedy of familiarity that breeds contempt for leadership.

Maintain order and discipline in your ministry.

Peace
